hopefully i dont get fired today.

Not to mention my computer quit working outright (can’t afford a new one of those either) so applying anywhere is near impossible (trying to apply on mobile sucks immensely). I have no other source of income other than DoorDash, even that’s near impossible cause my car decided to have issues the day immediately after and I can’t afford to fix it. I’m worried that nobody else will want to hire me now (even shitty exploitative jobs like Scamazon or McBunghole’s) because I got fired from the proclaimed “easiest job in the world”. Additionally the manager told me “I’m one of the best, the written won’t hurt you, I’ll make sure they don’t terminate you” etc which means she both lied and betrayed my ass. I did better in that one month period I caught a lot of junk that the new associates had missed, but that clearly wasn’t enough and they decided to capitalize on the one “mistake”. A month prior I got a written warning mostly for things out of my control (late bus, potential other job not cooperating, customer being inappropriate while transgressing rules that I have to enforce) that basically just said do better. I got fired 2 weeks ago today because I “hesitated” for a few seconds and doing one specific required task instead of another. The leave of health route then makes it a protected route and yes it's a pain to email a few times but honestly until I start getting 2 weeks notice when I'm going to be laid off for financial reasons they're not getting 2 weeks out of me when I decide to leave for financial reasons. they laid me off and luckily I had my severance letter and always supplied that for documents for background checks as proof I wasn't fired. Hell I was laid off and still given a performance bonus POST layoff since they felt bad and the company still told two different background check I was ineligible for rehire because I left with no notice. If they still hold it against you they would 2 weeks against you as well. Or they offer you a massive sign on bonus to start immediately.īy taking a leave of health and being very communicative about your leave your not burning a bridge. You should never give notice until that's in place. Let's say background check takes too long. Sure future opportunities when they call the company and ask if they would rehire me, they’ll say no, but having self respect was more important for me at that time. 135k in my job now, references can be anyone on my former team… CEO talked trash email / call / meeting to my former team and they’d all send me pictures about it. I had a close relationship with the team, took them out for dinner gave them the low down and ended up quitting. which was the truth.)… he went on to berate me further and told me I’m not allowed to tell anyone in the company I put in weeks as he will be the one to tell the team what happened (?). I put in my 2 weeks and the CEO told me I lacked professionalism, tact, and that I was a liar (because in the interview process I told them I’m looking to stay at a job 5+ years at this point. Started browsing around and landed a higher paying job. I missed a call at 2am and got written up for it. The expectation was our customers C level execs would have my personal phone to direct dial at anytime. People gloated about hitting 75+ by working on Saturday Sunday. Only a few months in I quickly learned it was a shit show. I was a sr manager making 6 figures at my last job.
